Keyboard for Singers

Keyboard for Singers is specifically designed to teach students how to independently play their vocal music on a piano or keyboard.  

Participants learn to recognize and play the notes encompassing the two octaves of the grand staff, with an emphasis on playing a single line of music.  All students learn basic music theory skills such as interval identification, rhythmic concepts, basic chord structure and simple scales, using the Alfred Adult Piano Series.  Offered as either private keyboard lessons, or as a 15 minute add-on to vocal lessons or coaching.

This progressive course demystifies the music reading process for the singer without having to learn an instrument.  Rooted in a combination of effective ear training and sight-singing methods , learn to sing at sight with instant recognition of intervals, and rhythmic patterns.  Learn how to sing your music without the aid of a keyboard.
